HG CO2 and HG CO2 LT compressors, subcritical

The compressors are used in both cascade and booster CO2 systems in applications for supermarkets, commercial and industrial cooling systems.

HG CO2
• Gas-cooled, semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors
• Subcritical CO2 operating conditions (deep freezing)
• Operating pressures of up to 51 bar (tc = 15 °C)
• Conceived for subcritical CO2 systems:
  Standstill pressures LP 40 bar (HGX44e CO2: 30 bar) / HP 55 bar
• High efficiency in deep freeze applications (to < -15 °C)

HG CO2 LT
• Gas-cooled, semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors
• Subcritical CO2 operating conditions (deep freezing)
• Operating pressures of up to 64 bar (tc = 25 °C)
• Two motor version (ML and S) for wide frequency range and operation on higher condensing temperatures
• Conceived for subcritical CO2 systems with high stand still pressures:
Standstill pressures LP 100 bar / HP 100 bar
• High efficiency in deep freeze applications (to < 0 °C)

Special features
• High compressor efficiency for lowest operating costs
• Long-life compressor design
• Broad limits of application and large frequency range for a wide variety of uses
• Reliable and safe oil supply through pump lubrication
• Good operating characteristics with low vibration, pulsations, and low operating noise
• Pressure relief valves for the suction and pressure area

Important information
• CO2 applications require a new kind of system and control
• They do not represent a general solution for substitution of F-gases
• The notes on handling CO2 compressors in the instructions for assembly must be followed
• We specifically point out that all information in this brochure is based on our current level of knowledge and may change at any time due to further development

1)
The motor code describes the compressor motor size based on the HP (Horse Power) of the compressor that is usual in refrigeration technology worldwide. However, the motor code does not correspond to the converted nominal power of the motor from [kW] to [HP].

2)
Nominal power of the motor in [kW].
